The confirmation of the declared effects of a cosmetic preparation is provided by practical (application) tests and instrumental (instrumental) measurements of skin parameters.
Within the framework of utility (application) tests, consumer tests are carried out at home with a properly selected group of volunteers.
Instrumental measurements of skin parameters are performed to confirm the usefulness of the cosmetic product as declared on the packaging.
Within the framework of application tests the following are carried out:
- Objective panel evaluation: analysis of the application and use properties of a cosmetic product carried out by a group of cosmetology specialists;
- Subjective panel evaluation: study conducted in vivo on healthy volunteers, the so-called probants, who are selected according to customer preference;
